The Athens Sexual Violence Prevention Coalition (Athens SVPC) is dedicated to improving the community climate regarding domestic and sexual violence through social justice initiatives focused on primary prevention strategies: including education and awareness, policy and legislation, and outreach and programming. Athens SVPC is comprised of representatives from Tri-County Mental Health and Counseling's Sexual Assault Prevention Program, The Health Promotion Department of Ohio University, The Church of the Good Shepherd, Ohio University's Women's Center, The College of Medicine's Community Outreach and AmeriCorp Program, Planned Parenthood of Southeastern Ohio, Counseling and Psychological Services at Ohio University, Athens Area Mediation Services, and other stakeholders such as students and parents. Athens SVPC is working on a variety of programming and events including the 100 Men Strong campaign.
